sony psvita – phil 15/02/2012
the sony psvita is due to launch on the 22nd, later this month. this is sonys newest attempt to conquer the hand-held market, directly following the psp and the pspgo respectively. the ps vita is is essentially a updated psp with some extras, the twin front and back touchscreens, the motion control (using a three-axis gyroscope and three-axis accelerometer sensors) a microphone and dual cameras.
personally i have never owned a psp before, but i made my decision to get one after reading about the tech that’s involved within the psvita and am looking forward to having the option to play more indepth games than what my iphone currently offers while traveling. i put in my order for the 3g version with toysrus (surprisingly they were the best price at the time) along with the crazily over priced uncharted golden abyss. like everyone else i hoped that sony would have realised nintendos error with the 3ds games at launch and priced more in line with what they go for now, sadly not. i will be reviewing the game early next month on my video game blog at http://philiphoy.wordpress.com/ make sure to check that out! also you can follow my personal twitter @philiphoy where i post lots of video game info, news and invites.
iphone story – phil 14/09/2011
the app “phone story” that exposes some of the less savory elements in the iphones hardware manufacturing process was pulled from the apple app store today, after only being available for a few hours! the game tells the story of the iphone from how it was put together by outsourced workers in china, all the way until the end of its life cycle where it is disposed as e-waste in pakistan. let us know what you think about this is @dymm_tweet are apple hiding the truth or shouldn’t we be bothered where it came from?
